At The Print Company, we make it easy to order the most popular business cards. Simply 'Select most popular' button on the product page to auto select the most common options.

Alternatively you can do it yourself by going through the following 10 steps:

1. Business cards type - Select A- Standard
2. Size - Select A - '90x55mm' (or chose one that matches your artwork size)
3. Embellishment -Select 'None'
4. Stock type - Select 'Artboard coated' this is the most common stock for business cards, Artboard just means a coated thick card
5. Stock weight - Select either '350gsm' (for matt or gloss laminated cards) or '450gsm' (for velvet or gloss laminated cards). Lamination is a thin plastic coating to protect your cards and give a nice professional finish. Matt is a smooth matt silky look and feel, whereas Velvet is similar but has a more velvety touch to it (sometimes referred to as 'Soft touch'), and gloss is a high gloss finish.
6 Printed sides - Select whether your card needs to be printed in colour or black and white and if its 1 or 2 sided printed.
7. Lamination type - Select preferred option (Matt and Velvet are the 2 most popular).
8. Laminated sides - choose if you want the cards laminated on 1 or both sides (some options may only be available for 2 sided)
9. Kinds - This is where you can have multiple card names printed, say if you had 3 employees needing cards printed, you can select 3 kinds here, if its just the 1 name, select 1 kind.
10. Quantity - how many cards do you require of each kind.

Then simply add to cart and order or email the quote if you want to decide later.

Bleed is area where an image or object of colour runs off the edge of the page (leaving no white border).  For Business card printing, the minimum required bleed amount (or extra that the image or object passes over the edge of the page) is 3mm on each side.

gsm means grams per square metre. The lower the gsm, the thinner the paper/card stock and the higher the gsm, the thicker the paper/card stock.
A typical standard paper you would use in your home or office printer would be 80-90gsm. A letter head or with compliments slip are generally 100gsm. Standard brochures, flyers or handouts are typically 150-200gsm. Premium flyers, brochures, invitations and postcards are between 200-300gsm. Business cards start at 300gsm to 350gsm and for premium cards go from 400 to 600gsm for specialty cards.
Posters range from 150gsm to 220gsm in general depending on the size and purpose.

Print ready PDFs is a term used to describe how the file is setup and saved.

To achieve best print results, your print file must contain bleed, trim marks, high resolution images, fonts converted to outlines or embedded and transparencies set as required.
