Artwork setup + Options Information

For best Presentation Folder printing results, please read the information below

Presentation Folder artwork specifications & Setup

Use one the templates provided (downloadable from the Presentation Folder tab) to setup your artwork to the folder style.

Please ensure that you upload print ready PDFs.
A print ready PDF needs to be:
• High resolution (300dpi images)
• CMYK colours,
• 3mm of bleed on all sides,
• Trim marks supplied

If you are unable to supply as a print ready PDF, we may be able to use other files and fix any that are not print ready.

Folder Style

We have 17 standard folder styles to choose from.

You can view these below under the 'Presentation Folders' tab, click on the image to enlarge.

We have Standard size locking tab folders, oversized folders and glued folders to choose from.

Downloadable templates are also available in the 'Presentation Folders' tab, click on the style you would like to download. Simply use this in InDesign (or your editing software) to create your folder.

Stock Types & GSM (thickness)

The Following Stock/paper options are available online, more are available by request.

• Artboard - Satin card
Available thickness online - 350gsm (thick brochures)

Printed Sides

You can either print on the outside of the folders and flaps only (Front, back and the flaps showing inside), or you can also print on the inside of the folders also.
Choose the option that best suites you.

Lamination

Lamination is a thin clear plastic coating on top of the print. This helps to both protect the print, as well as enhance the finish. Gloss or Matt lamination is available with Gloss being a high gloss finish and the Matt being a silky matte finish.

For quantities under 250x, these are printed digitally so any printed side must be laminated to protect the ink during the cutting process.

Embellishments

For digitally printed folders, you can choose to add a raised UV embellishment (scodix). This is a high gloss clear raised polymer that you can add on top of a logo, text or pattern.
Scodix is only available with a Velvet lamination.

A variety of standard quantity options are available online, but if you need a quantity not listed, please get in touch for a custom quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is gsm?

gsm means grams per square metre. The lower the gsm, the thinner the paper/card stock and the higher the gsm, the thicker the paper/card stock.
A typical standard paper you would use in your home or office printer would be 80-90gsm. A letter head or with compliments slip are generally 100gsm. Standard brochures, flyers or handouts are typically 150-200gsm. Premium flyers, brochures, invitations and postcards are between 200-300gsm. Business cards start at 300gsm to 350gsm and for premium cards go from 400 to 600gsm for specialty cards.
Posters range from 150gsm to 220gsm in general depending on the size and purpose.

What are Templates?

Templates are downloadable PDF files that you can use to setup your artwork to fit our die cut presentation folders, envelope sizes etc. For more information, see 'How do i use the templates' question below.

How do I use the templates?

Ready made Templates can be found in the Product Information Page and the Presentation Folders product page. Once you find a template that meets your requirements, click on the blue button to download the PDF template file. Import the PDF file as a layer into your design program to design your artwork with.

What are print ready PDFs?

Print ready PDFs is a term used to describe how the file is setup and saved.

To achieve best print results, your print file must contain bleed, trim marks, high resolution images, fonts converted to outlines or embedded and transparencies set as required.

Can I order different quantities than the options available on the site?

Yes! If you require a quantity that isn't available in the pull down option, please Contact Us. We will provide you a quick quote to meet your specific needs.

How long will my order take to be delivered?

Delivery times will depend on product type, quantity and the complexity of the order (for eg: finishing or special print effects). 

For simple product printing (for eg: Standard business cards), you can expect delivery in 2-3 business day.
For complex and labour intense products (for eg: foiling, boolets, speciality finishing), we estimate delivery between 5-7 business days. 
Products that require Foils can take up to 7-10 business days for delivery.
